The Maverick

Never backing down,

Never saying “No!”

Never show ‘em a frown,

Always give ‘em a show!

You knocked me on my back,

You spat right in my face,

Your indifference, sharp like a tack,

Gave me a reason to cease my chase,

You held me up,

Just to knock me down,

Gave me the golden cup,

Just to strip away my crown,

Now I’m back, and here I stand,

 Try to knock me down, just see where I land!

So here I’ll stand, with a bad attitude,

Cause nothing you say can darken my mood!

So sit there and watch as your mind closes shop,

‘Cause I’m gonna rise, right up to the top!
