Forsaken (A Tale of Confusion)

Forsaken (A Tale of Confusion)

Running around with no sense of direction,
(Another carefree smile, another painful rejection.)
I feel like I’m blind in a room with no light,
(No one to keep me calm; no one to hold me tight.)
I simply reach out for a chance at redemption,
(No salvation for the fallen; no chance for absolution.)
I stumble around, with nowhere to go,
(Waiting for my last chance; my opportunity to grow)
Destiny calls, but to it, I am deaf,
(It calls me, yet evades me, like a thief who is deft.)
I call out to anyone, but no one can hear,
(My glimmering hope quashed; my one and only fear.)
Waiting for that one day, when someone will grab my hand,
(Take me from this misery; take me from this accursed stand.)
The light shan’t stay!
(The smiles betray…)
I’m held at bay,
(On this ungodly day)
And as I stall,
(The voices call)
And then we all,
(Shall surely fall)
