The Importance of Time-Management

Hello all, I know it has been a while since I have posted anything meaningful on this blog, school has simply been constraining my creativity for quite some time now... which leads into the point I shall make today. Time-Management. It is critical for all writers to plot out or at least set time aside to write or else... well... we wouldn't get anything done! Sadly, I have not been following this golden rule myself lately and have been letting the stressful situations of my life preside over the importance of taking time out of my day for myself to simply loosen up and let my mind work its magic. To all of those who are out there struggling to find the time to write or relax or whatever, make an oath to yourself today. Right now, in fact. Don't make any plans, push aside all possible distractions and simply take a few minutes to take a breather, if a writer dosen't take a break from all the stressful situations in life then he or she will not have the strength to write anything meaningful. Sometimes this works the opposite way as well, be sure not to write to the point where writing becomes a hassle over a blessing. Sometimes even the best of writers need to take a break from writing, no matter how silly that may sound. The point I'm trying to make here is that relaxation and Time-Management are two very important aspects to the concept of professional writing, keep hanging in there, and maybe today I'll follow my own example and get back to doing what I love most: writing. Cheers! - The Illusive Writer
