Inferno

Hello all, here is another poem for you all to enjoy and/or ponder over - The Illusive Writer

Inferno

Fire, Water, Earth and Air,
They fill our minds, but were never there.
The greens of the trees, and the bark of the wood,
Just because they change, doesn’t mean that they should.
And as we all sit, with our hands upon our knees,
The wind flutters about with the swiftness of bees.
Our fires grow cold, and as do our hearts,
The secrets we keep tear families apart.
So look outside and tell me,
What is it that you see?
Happiness? Joy?
Both are coy.
We
Can
Only
See
The
Big
Pic-
Ture
When our eyes are open to the heavens, and we accept what they see.
